Amber joined L Brands in January 2018 and leads ethics and anti-corruption compliance for the global enterprise. Before joining L Brands, Amber served in various roles of increasing responsibility in the Walmart Legal Department. Between 2006 and 2017, her roles included senior associate general counsel and section head for US compliance, senior associate general counsel and section head for real estate operations; and associate general counsel on the global investigations and ethics legal team. Amber also held in-house positions at companies in Houston, Texas. Amber currently serves as a board member for the Center for WorkLife Law and is a former board chair for Northwest Arkansas Head Start. Amber has spoken at events sponsored by organizations such as the ABA Forum on Franchising, National Association of Women Lawyers, Black Women Lawyers Association, and the Retail Industry Leaders Association. She’s also served as a guest lecturer for compliance courses offered at the University of Arkansas School of Law. The Harvard Business Review published her article “How to Speak Up if You See Bias at Work” in January 2017, and in December 2017, the ACC Docket published “Lawyers on the Front Lines: Identifying Risk and Managing Internal Investigations,” which Amber co-wrote. Amber is a member of the Maryland State Bar and the Texas State Bar.
